ARGO-HYTOS E 084 Return-Suction Filter

Application: Designed for operation in units with hydrostatic drives, where the return flow consistently exceeds the oil flow of the feed pump.

Performance Features:

• Wear Protection: Employs filter elements that meet stringent cleanliness class requirements during full-flow filtration.
• Suction Filter Function: Ensures 100% filtration of the suction flow, preventing dirt from entering the feed pump.
• Return Filter Function: Provides full-flow filtration in the system return, protecting pumps from dirt particles remaining in the system after assembly, repairs, or generated by wear or external sources.

Functional Characteristics:

• Hydraulic oil returning from the circuit passes through the filter element, pressurized by a 0.5 bar check valve, and supplied to the feed pump.
• Surplus oil flows, filtered over the integral check valve, into the reservoir.
• Minimizes cavitation risk during cold start phase.
• Integral pressure relief valve prevents excessive back pressure and protects shaft seals.
• No direct connection between return line and feed pump (no bypass valve function).
• Emergency-suction valve with 125 ?m protection strainer supplies feed pump during short-term oil lack.
• Start-Up / De-Aeration: Use the start-up set E 084.1710 for de-aerating the hydraulic system during initial start-up or after repairs, ensuring immediate supply of hydraulic oil to the feed pump.
• Filter Maintenance: Clogging indicators indicate optimal maintenance time for filter elements, maximizing filter utilization.
• Filter Elements: Flow direction from center to the outside, with star-shaped pleating for large filter surfaces, low pressure drop, high dirt-holding capacities, and long service life.
• Accessories: Electrical and optical clogging indicators are available.
